BEDC NEW MANAGEMENT ASSURES ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS OF ADEQUATE POWER SUPPLY AS 11AGREGATORS GETS ENGAGED

The Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) has assured its customers in Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti states of adequate power supply as the customers get prepared to pay electricity bills. The assurance was disclosed by the new MD/CEO of BEDC, Dr Henry Ajagbawa at an interactive session with payment partners in Benin city. Dr Henry Ajagbawa informed the stakeholders of BEDC recent engagement of 11 Agregators that have been assigned to come up with 10,000 agents to serve customers across the BEDC franchise states to pay for services provided and also be able to recover funds from electricity consumers. According to him, most consumers had often attributed inability to pay electricity bills to non agents in their areas which was as a result of BEDC having just 1 Aggregator with 1,650 billing and payment agents before now.
