 Edo NBA calls for release of kidnapped  member  By Egwaoje Amarachi Linda. The Executive Committee of the Nigerian BAR Association NBA, has expressed concern over the increase in the number of  abductions of Edo citizens and  professionals . The  Edo NBA's statement is coming on  the hills of the kidnap of a member of the bar,  Barr. Joshua Oseluanamen Anebokhae.  The statement from the Executive Committee of the NBA, Benin branch, led by Nosa Francis Edo-Osagie, titled, "Sad note", addressed to the members, reads " is sad to inform you that our Colleague, Joshua Oseluanamen Anebuokhae, Esq. has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.  It was gathered that the former Junior to Prince Collins Ogiegbean, past chairman of the Lion Bar was kidnapped yesterday, 15th September, 2023,  along Asaba Road.  The Chairman is in smart touch with the Police and other relevant security agencies to ensure that Joshua, an Alumnus of Ambrose Alli Uni...
 NUJ Federated Chapel holds Annual Lecture, Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)  Edo State Council has announced  to hold its 2023 Annual Lecture on 28th September 2023 at the Edo NUJ Event hall. This was disclosed in a meeting held by the organizing committee in the Chapel Secretariat at NUJ  signed by the Chairman organizing Committee , Prince Leo Eziekiel  and Secretary Pastor Confidence Osarumwense ahead of the event. The event which has   the Theme  Unraveling the Nexus of bad governance and irregular migration: The Media as a Catalyst for Desired Change  would be delivered by Mr. Nevile  Onebamhoi Obakhedo under the distinguished Chairmanship of Prof. Henry Oghator. According to the statement, Apostle Gordon Ada Osaigede of Spirit and Life Bible Family Bible Church would also be decorated as Patron of the Chapel while the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe would also be honoured respectively.

 Edo LG Election:Free, Fair and Peaceful: Prince Atsheleghe By Osariemen Idiaghe   The Local Government elections held across the 18 local government areas of Edo state has been described as free, fair and very peaceful. This assertion was made by the Iyasere of Warri kingdom, Prince Johnson Atsheleghe at ward 10, Ikpoba-Okha in Ologbo during the local government elections on Saturday The election  witnessed large turn out of voters and early arrival of voting materials despite the heavy early morning down pour.  Prince Johnson Atsheleghe praised the EDSIEC for a organizing a violent free election. According to him " The election was peaceful, free and fair, devoid of violence that sometimes characterize elections. The people came out in their large numbers to cast their votes for PDP because ward 10 unit 13 is dominated by PDP supporters.
