OKOMU OIL PALM COMPANY REWARDS LOYAL EMPLOYEES




The Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc has rewarded  82 of its employees for their commitment, dedication, and loyalty during its 2025  Long Service Award Ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Edo State.


The awardees, who had served the company for 15, 20, and 25 years respectively, received various household gift items including King-sized beds, Wardrobes, Dining sets, Upholstery chairs, Generators, and 32-inch flat-screen television sets.

They also received cash prizes in recognition of their years of service.


Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of the company, Dr. Graham Hefer, commended the recipients for their unwavering commitment and contribution to the growth of the company.

“The staff who have been rewarded today have given back part of their contributions to this company. They have shown loyalty and commitment over the years, and we are privileged to have people who have worked with us for as long as 25 years,” Dr. Hefer said. “The company is happy to celebrate them, and we encourage others

The Newly Appointed First Female Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, has promised to enhance the hospital's healthcare infrastructure and prioritize staff welfare.  Prof. Ize-Iyamu made this commitment when she assumed office on Monday surrounded by staff and students of the institution. Cyberstalking Case Against Ex-Edo Governorship Candidate Adjourned

Benin-City-The arraignment of Paul Okungbowa, the young people's party governorship candidate in the last governorship election in Edo, was stalled  in a Benin High Court. This was  due to the  absence of Okungbowa and  his counsel. Subsequently, Justice Rita Irele-Ifijeh adjourned the case in charge No/B/CD/208c/2025 for the offence of cyber stalking until November 21, 2025. When the matter came up,  Mrs  E.E. Ageloisa  announced his appearance as watching the brief of the nominal complaint,  while Paul Okungbowa was absent and unrepresented.  The State counsel informed the court that from her investigation, the case has not been assigned . He  applied that hearing notice be served on the office of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP and the defendant to enable the substantive state counsel to make the necessary application on the next adjourned date if the defendant fails to show up in court on the next adjourned date.  .
