Federated Chapel Felicitate with Bishop Osagiede

The Executive and members of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council has felicitated with the General Overseer of the Spirit and Life Family Bible Church, Bishop Gordon Ada Gordon-Osagiede Jnron his birthday. The members who were led to the resident of the Bishop by the Chairperson Comrade Mercy Onyenweli congratulated the Bishop on his birthday. In her address, Comrade Mercy extolled the leadership qualities of the celebrant and commended him for being a role model to teeming youths who draw inspiration from his lifestyle. She said "you are towing the path of a true servant of God and therefore deserve to play the role of father to the chapel". She however used the occasion to officially announce the decision of the chapel to confer the patronship position on the bishop and appealed that whenever the bishop is ready, he should communicate back to enable the chapel make adequate preparation. She however wished the bishop more promotion and God's upliftments. In his response, Bishop Gordon-Osagiede Jnr appreciated members of Federated chapel for finding worthy to celebrate his birthday with him. He described journalists as the voice of the voiceless who usually beam the searchlight on matters of public interest. " Being a journalist is a unique divine call that requires a selfless individual to be able carry out the job effectively.". He however sued for partnership between the church and media practitioners to promote the general well being of humanity and Nigeria at large.
