Egor Will Regain its Voice In Edo House of Assembly - Airhunmwunde

An Edo State House of Assembly hopeful, Chief John Osahon Airhunmwunde has promised that Egor Local Government Constituency will regain its lost voice in the house if given the mandate under the All Progressive Congress.


Chief John Airhunmwunde  who is a hotelier and  Chairman of Play House Hotels Limited made the promise in an event in Egor Ward 9 where he declared  officially his intentions to run for Egor Constituency in the 2027 elections. 


The event which was well attended by APC Ward 9 party leaders and party faithfuls unanimously endorsed Chief John Airhunmwunde as their preferred candidate to represent Egor in Edo House of Assembly.


The Ward 9 party chairman, Hon Igbinigiesu and other party leaders commended Chief Airhunmwunde for bringing the desired development to Egor Local Government noting that his candidacy will spur more progress in terms of legislation in the house of Assembly.


Chief John Airhunmwunde thanked the party leaders for finding him worthy to be elected into the house of Assembly to represent the good people of Egor Local Government area. 


He added that his desire to contest for the house of Assembly is borne out of the inadequacies in the representation by the current legislator insisting he has been able to use his position to attract developments and formidable security mechanism.


He recounted how he provided two sienna buses to the Okhoro Police station to beef up security and also provided a 500KVA transformer for steady electricity supply and employment of over 200 youths to curb youth restiveness, crime and criminal activities in the locality.


Chief John Airhunmwunde further said he had taken much risk to ensure Egor local government area is given it's due recognition in the present government of Senator Monday Okpebholo as the executive governor, assuring if he won the primaries as the sole candidate, he will influence the state government to link the Okhoro community to Uteh community to ease traffic congestion within the Benin metropolis.


The hotelier said that his policies and programmes would be geared towards the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Shine Agenda of Governor Monday Okpebholo, whom he said had come to salvage the plight  of Edo people.


He promised to represent the people adequately pointing out that he will build on his achievements so far recorded even when he is not occupying any elective position just as he planned to maximize his rights and privileges in the house to transform Egor local government area.
