Edosa and Edebiri emerge APC candidates for Oredo West and East HOA Primary

Ahead of the 2027 general elections,  Dr. Richard Edosa and Mr. Edwin Edebiri have emerged the candidates of the All Progressives Congress to represent Oredo West and East Constituencies at the state House of Assembly. 


The returning officer of the primary election in the constituencies, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu made the declaration at the Oredo party secretariat in Benin City.


Ohonbamu, announcing the candidates for Oredo West and East in the primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC admonished them to be magnanimous in victory, noting that the party was one big family.


In Oredo West, Dr. Richard Edosa was unanimously returned unopposed by party members as the candidate of APC in the 2027 election.


While at Oredo East, Edwin Edebiri polled 3,120 votes to emerge the candidate while the incumbent member of the Edo House of Assembly, Mr. Omosigho Uyi polled 69 votes to emerge second.


Reacting to the overwhelming support given to him by party members, Hon. Edosa expressed gratitude to the people of his constituency for giving him the platform to represent them for a second time at the Edo State House of Assembly.


Edosa promised to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy bridging the gap between governance and the grassroots, focusing on infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and effective representation to improve livelihoods.


He also promised empowerment for youth and women to encourage self-reliance and entrepreneurship.


Edosa assured of effective representation,  Promising to be a "voice for the voiceless" and moving motions that directly impact the constituency.


He promised to work with other aspirants for the progress and development of the constituncy.


The candidate for Oredo East Constituency, Hon. Edwin Edebiri said he has been very close to the constituents and familiar with their needs which he would not hesitate to solve for the enduring development.


The exercise which was held across the 12 wards in Oredo East and West was peaceful and orderly.

 NUJ Federated Chapel holds Annual Lecture, Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)  Edo State Council has announced  to hold its 2023 Annual Lecture on 28th September 2023 at the Edo NUJ Event hall.
