Egor LG Chairman Donates 12 Motorcycles to Security Agencies, Declares Zero Tolerance for Kidnappers, Criminals.

In a bid to strengthen security operations, enhance the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes within the council area,
the Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government Council of Edo State Hon. Osaro Eribo, has donated 12 motorcycles to the Nigeria Police Force, Ugbowo Division, and personnel of the Edo State Security Corps.

speaking during the presentation in Benin City said the intervention formed part of his administration's unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring that residents of Egor live and conduct their businesses in a peaceful and secure environment
He said the motorcycles would improve the mobility of security operatives, enabling them to respond promptly to distress calls, intensify patrols and effectively police communities, especially areas that are difficult to access with conventional patrol vehicles.
"Egor Local Government will not be a safe haven for kidnappers, bandits, cultists or any other criminal elements. We are determined to support our security agencies with the logistics they need to discharge their constitutional responsibilities effectively.
"The donation of these motorcycles is a practical demonstration of our commitment to complementing the efforts of Governor Monday Okpebholo in strengthening security across Edo State. We believe that when security agencies are adequately equipped, they can respond faster, prevent crime and reassure our people that government is working for them."
The council chairman commended the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, the Edo State Security Corps and other security agencies for their courage, professionalism and sacrifices in maintaining law and order despite the risks associated with their duties.
He urged the beneficiaries to deploy the motorcycles responsibly by increasing visibility policing, intelligence gathering and community patrols to deny criminals any operating space within Egor and its environs
Hon. Eribo also appealed to residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies with timely and credible information, stressing that security is a collective responsibility that requires active collaboration between government, security personnel and members of the public.
He assured that his administration would continue to invest in initiatives that promote public safety and strengthen partnerships with security agencies, saying peace and security remain indispensable to sustainable development and economic growth in Egor Local Government.
